前作『たてもの』から本作までの約6年間、ライブの中においての新しい演奏スタイルの追求に着目し、新曲制作を中断してほぼ既存曲のみの演奏を国内外で続け、それまでより“ライブ”にフォーカスした作品『ドクメントス1』として発表。
今後も月日と共に変化していく感覚や音楽を定期的にドキュメントしていく現在進行形のライブ盤シリーズの第１弾。前作『たてもの』から４曲、未発表曲１曲の計５曲収録。レコーディング、ミックス、マスタリングは西川文章が担当。

During the approximately six years between their previous album, *Tatemono*, and this release, the band focused on exploring new performance styles in their shows. They put new song production on hold and continued performing almost exclusively existing songs both domestically and internationally, ultimately releasing *documentos 1*—an album that places a greater emphasis on the "Improvisation" experience than their previous work.
This is the first installment in an ongoing live album series that aims to periodically document the evolving sensations and music that change with the passage of time. It features a total of five tracks: four from the previous album *Tatemono* and one previously unreleased track. Recording, mixing, and mastering by Bunsho Nishikawa.
